Images

 

  1. JPG, PNG, and PDF images can be imported and used in question stems and answers
  2. Here are typical guidelines on the choice of image formats:

    —Use PDF for diagrams, equations, charts, and any image with text

    —Use PNG at 300 ppi/dpi for screenshots or diagrams or use 600 ppi/dpi for fine line art or tiny text)
    
—Use JPG for photos
  3. Create/export the image at the physical size you want it to print, then set Media width (in the image import section) to that width in points, which is inches × 72.

    —For example, a 1” width image should be set to 72 pt

    —A 2” wide image should be set to 144 pt

    —A 3” wide image should be set to 216 pt

A 4” wide image should be set to 288 pt

    —A 5” wide image should be set to 360 pt

    —A 6” wide image should be set to 432 pt
